What to say of the best friend, companion, family member and dog ever…Slade was the best and quite a character. The amount of joy, happiness and laughter you brought into this world unmatched. Somedays you felt more like a person than a dog. You were stubborn, really sassy and a bit of an ass at times but man you were smart, kind, funny and so full of life and love. You touched so many peoples hearts in this world. You were great with everyone and everyone loved you so much. You marched to the beat of your own drum and made your own path. We will all miss hearing you howl and sing your songs for the whole block to hear. We will miss hearing you wake from sleep and come running cause you heard the treat bag open. We will miss all the walks and adventures we had every single day like it was all new all over again. We will miss the cuddles you gave and the happy squish face looks you gave us. Playing in the blankets until you were too hot, but then rolling in the snow like it was pure bliss. Being your parents and family was an adventure of a lifetime and a blessing that we will never forget and more than we could have asked for. Our hearts are absolutely crushed and shattered knowing you’re gone, but you’re free now, running with your tongue out and hair blowing in the wind with your brother Charlie. We all love and miss you dearly. This isn’t goodbye forever, it’s until we meet again buddy, you will be forever in our hearts…rest easy big man.
