Sweet Bella was a very lucky girl. In her 15 years she brought so much love, joy and comfort to two families. And to both those families, she was the world.

She joined our family when she was 9 years old and she was a firecracker. She dragged me down the Waskesiu River Trail, plowed her little path through deep snow at Cypress Hills, and loved an evening kayak on a warm night.
She aged with grace, never slowing down, never struggling with arthritis. Although the hearing loss in her finale year made a few l curves as we relearned to communicate. But the only things we really had to say to each other we said silently, in our hearts.

She was a walking contradiction. Everytime I thought I knew what she liked, or even who she liked, she changed her mind. She kept us all on our toes and never made for a dull moment. She was my fierce protector, saving me multiple times from the post man, a rabbit, or even a leaf. But the morning snuggles…. those were the moments we both lived for.

Thank you Bella for saving me. Thank you for being a part of our family. We love you and miss you every moment of everyday.
