Microchips

Proper identification can be one of the best things you ever do for your pet. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are implanted under the skin, between the pet’s shoulder blades.  The microchip can be detected by a hand-held microchip scanner at the RHS, or most veterinary clinics. Should you and your pet become separated, a microchip will instantly identify you as your pet’s owner when scanned, and help get them home quickly and safely.  Please note that microchips are not able to track your pet’s location.

You can book an appointment to have your pet microchipped at the Regina Humane Society by calling 306-543-6363 ext 312, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The cost is $33.00 per chip, including taxes.
