While my name is Zeus, I'm not nearly as brave as my namesake was. You see, for my short life, I've not experienced what a normal puppy has, so the world is quite scary for me. Everything I learn is new, and while I've been enjoying "learning how to dog", it's certainly been a big change for me.

I've spent a few weeks in foster care, learning from two other dogs what my life should have looked like all along. I've learned that I like to cuddle and play - but I'm still quite scared of loud noises happening in the neighborhood, and despite me not actually being a tough guy, I often bark at scary things like I am (they don't know I'm a chicken, right?)

I like going for walks, but getting started sure is scary. The backyard is such a safe place, so venturing out is a bit overwhelming - but if I push through how scary it is at first, it's quite fun! I just need an accountability partner to help me push through the hesitation I have at the beginning.

I'm still a puppy at heart, and I'm learning a lot. I like to chew on things, but I'm getting pretty good at knowing what a toy or a bone is rather than something in the house people don't want me to chew. Oh! I also met these odd little creatures call "cats" once, and I was very curious about them. Unfortunately they didn't want to be my friend, so I accepted that and gave them space. Maybe one day I'll be able to investigate these creatures more.

I will need some patience with my new family as I continue to learn how to be a normal dog. I do promise that I'm worth it. I promise to give you the biggest snuggles to make up for all the silly little things that scare me - but I do think once I find my safe person that I'll be much more comfortable to take on the world, hopefully with you!
