One in three pets goes missing at least once in their lifetime. A City of Regina Pet License can help make sure your best friend gets home faster. They enable Animal Protection Officers to return your missing pet to you as soon as possible and show strangers your lost pet is not a stray and needs to be returned to its family.
In the City of Regina, all cats and dogs must have a license. Licenses expire annually on December 31, and must be renewed for the following year, regardless of when they were purchased. The penalty for not licensing your cat or dog is $250.00.
The easiest way to purchase or renew your pet license is through the Regina Humane Society website. When you do so, a portion of your license fee stays with the Society to help the animals in our care. Note that specialty licenses cannot be purchased online. There is a $1.00 processing fee for online license purchases.
You can also obtain your pet license in person at the Regina Humane Society, at City Hall or at any Regina Veterinary Clinic. Lost tags can be replaced, in person only, for a fee of $5.00.
